CHEESY BISCUIT LASAGNA

1 lb. ground beef
1 1/2 c. water
8 oz. can tomato sauce
6 oz. can tomato paste
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. ground oregano
1/2 tsp. basil leaves
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/2 c. cottage cheese
1 tbsp. parsley flakes
1/2 tsp. instant minced onion
1 (10 count) can biscuits
1/2 tsp. basil leaves

Heat oven to 375 degrees. In large skillet, brown ground beef; drain. Stir in water, tomato sauce, tomato paste, garlic powder, oregano, 1/2 basil leaves and pepper; cover and simmer 15-20 minutes.
Meanwhile, in small bowl, combine Mozzarella and cottage cheese, parsley, onion, and remaining half of basil leaves.

Separate dough into 10 biscuits; press each biscuit to a 4-inch circle, place 1 1/2 tablespoon of cheese mixture on each circle. Fold dough in half over filling, press edges with fork to seal. Pour hot meat mixture into ungreased 9x13 (3 quart) baking dish; arrange filled biscuits on top. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.

Servings: 5-6 servings.
