Iced Tea Recipe

Apple Spiced Ice Tea Recipe
Ingredients:

2 regular tea bags
1 apple spiced tea bag
1 pinch baking soda
sugar to taste
2 quarts cold water
1 cup boiling water
Directions:

Drop tea bags in boiling water, boil 3 minutes. Add the pinch of baking soda. Remove from heat and discard tea bags. Pour hot mixture in to pitcher of cold water. Sweeten to taste with sugar. Serve over ice.

This recipe for Apple Spiced Ice Tea serves/makes 2 quarts.


Blackberry Iced Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

3 cups fresh or frozen blackberries, thawed
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
1 pinch baking soda
4 cups boiling water
2 family size tea bags
2 1/2 cups cold water
Fresh blackberries, fresh mint sprigs for garnish
Directions:

Combine blackberries and sugar in large container. Crush blackberries with wooden spoon. Add mint and baking soda. Set aside. Pour 4 cups boiling water over tea bags; cover and let stand 3 minutes. Discard tea bags. Pour tea over blackberry mixture; let stand at room temperature 1 hour. Pour tea through a wire mesh strainer into a large pitcher, discarding solids. Add 2 1/2 cups cold water, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cover and chill until ready to serve. Garnish, if desired.

This recipe for Blackberry Iced Tea serves/makes 7.5 cups.
